Karpathos, the second largest of the Dodecanese Islands, lies in the Southeast Aegean Sea in the middle of the stretch between Rhodes and Crete. With its many beautiful beaches - some of which can only be reached by boat - and a charming mountain landscape with a total of ten villages, where you can experience the unique warm hospitality of the residents, the island attracts tourists from all over the world.

What to eat:

The cuisine of Karpathos is generous and true to the motto: "Enjoy every day fully, because every day is a holiday!". In every single village on the island you can try the traditional dishes of Karpathos and get to know the way of life of the people. Some of them include i.e.: “Ofto”: (goat meat with filling prepared in a charcoal oven), “Psilokoulouro” (sesame ring), “Kremydopsomo” (onion bread) and “Skaros” (fish that is only available on Karpathos).

In the capital, in all the villages and in the settlements by the sea, the guest will find taverns and restaurants for every taste, whereby "Finiki" and "Lefkos" are particularly known for their rich offer of fish specialties.
